This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Work On

• Responsibilities include all administrative functions of the department: Answering phones, calendar management, scheduling travel, managing correspondence and scheduling couriers, processing expense reports, meeting/event planning, creating or modifying business documents, preparing presentations from source materials, handling teleconference, acting as a liaison for remote access issues.

• May include some support for tracking budget expenditures.

• Coordinate and maintain departmental files, as assigned, in compliance with corporate and government regulations.

• Follow purchasing and requisition procedures, Corporate Security and Privacy Rules, Corporate Branding Guidelines, and Copy Center procedures (if applicable). Order business cards and office supplies.

• Use basic to intermediate software skills to perform work assigned.

• Use and understands Microsoft Office Suite and other business-specific software, including the Corporate Travel Web site, and employee performance management systems (as applicable).

• Coordinate new employee onboarding and office set-ups.

• Frequently interact with high-level executives.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge and understanding of business processes and requirements.

• Frequently handle confidential or business-sensitive information.

• Data is typically employee-level or one-dimensional.

• Maintain and may manage calendars, including meeting and travel scheduling and domestic and international travel arrangements.

• Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts.

• May be the primary point of contact for manager’s schedule.

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• 1 year previous Administrative experience.

• Operates with general instruction and some supervision.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college preferred

The base pay for this position is $19.05 – $38.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.]]><
