Industrial Account Manager-Heat Treat & Thermal Processing 

Location: West Coast region-remote

Thermcraft, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Account Manager to drive growth across the West Coast region. This is a technical sales role focused strictly on heavy industrial heating equipment, thermal processing systems, and materials testing applications .

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and qualification through technical consultation, proposal development, and order close — while maintaining Thermcraft’s high standards of professionalism and customer care.

Important Note for Applicants: This is an industrial equipment and engineered materials sales position. It requires hands-on experience with industrial furnaces, thermal processing, or materials testing. This is not an IT, software, SaaS, or telecommunications sales role.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within industrial heat treatment, aerospace, laboratory research, and materials testing sectors.
• Conduct technical consultations and on-site customer visits to translate client heating specifications into tailored equipment solutions.
• Manage full-cycle capital equipment and component sales—from lead qualification and technical proposal development to order close.
• Collaborate with internal teams — engineering, customer service, and production — to ensure accurate technical solutions and timely communication.
• Develop and maintain territory sales plans, forecasts, and regular reporting through CRM and Infor systems.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to identify growth opportunities.
• Represent Thermcraft at industry events, trade shows, and conferences with a professional and proactive presence.
• Serve as a customer advocate internally to ensure satisfaction and build long-term partnerships.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales, specifically within heat treat, thermal processing, materials testing, or metallurgy.
• Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent hands-on industrial experience.
• Mandatory Technical Experience: Proven experience selling or working with at least one of the following:
  • Heat treat operations or industrial thermal processing equipment.
  • Industrial furnaces, ovens, temperature control systems, or heating elements.
  • Materials testing, metallographic sample prep, or high-temperature laboratory testing instrumentation.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read engineering drawings and specs for customized thermal equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the West Coast region.

Preferred:

• Experience selling furnaces, ovens, or heating elements to industrial or OEM customers.
• Understanding of thermal processing or materials testing applications.
