Assistant Project Manager Full-Time • On-Site / Field (location disclosed to qualified candidates) • Employment Type: Direct Hire • Reports to: Owner Position Overview This company has built its reputation over years of steady, well-run electrical work on commercial and government contracts. Now they need someone who can help carry that work forward, managing the details that keep projects on track and the owner freed up to focus on what's next. You'll work directly with the owner and the project managers, moving between drawings, specs, and field coordination as each project demands. Some days you're in Bluebeam marking up plans and tracking numbers in Excel. Other days you're on-site making sure the work matches the plan. This is a role for someone who already knows the electrical trade cold and is ready to build a second set of skills in project management. You'll be learning as you go, with real support from an owner who wants you to grow into it. Key Responsibilities Owner & Field Support Work directly with the owner, managing and supporting both office and field deliverables. Coordinate day-to-day project work with project managers to keep jobs moving on schedule. Drawings & Specifications Manage project drawings and specifications using Bluebeam. Keep documentation current and accessible for the field and office teams. Estimating & Reporting Track project data and reporting in Excel. Support estimating work and manage submittals from start to finish. Qualifications Experience 8-10+ years of experience in the electrical industry. Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of electrical code. Familiarity with commercial and government contract work is a plus. Leadership & Communication Coachable and open to learning project management as a new discipline. Comfortable moving between desk work and field work in the same day. Nice to have, not required: independent electrical journeyman status. Work Environment This role splits time between the office and the field. You'll need to be just as comfortable behind a screen managing drawings and reports as you are walking a job site.
