Salary Range $25.00 - $25.00 Hourly Position Type Part Time

Description

The Program Aide reports to the Program Director and is responsible for assisting with the daily operations and administrative requirements of a school-based after-school program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support program administrative efforts, including assistance with attendance records and data entry, participant files, incident and accident reports, scheduling, and other program records.
• Remain responsive and accountable on all administrative tasks, including responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner, adhering to submission deadlines, and completing all administrative tasks as assigned.
• Assist with daily program operations and logistics, including the oversight of program transitions and key program times such as arrival, snack, and dismissal.
• Serve as substitute within activity classrooms as needed.
• Adhere to the program's established mental health response and referral plan.
• Personally complete required Mental Health training, including Mental Health and Mental Illness, Engagement and De-Escalation Strategies, Referral and Crisis Management Protocols, and Mental Health Resources.
• Support on-site Inclusion efforts, working alongside program managers to identify and support student needs.
• Assist in ensuring that program operates safely, including maintaining safe spaces and program practices; adhering to requirements for scheduled fire drills and other safety drills; being vigilant of staff and student interaction, signs of child abuse/maltreatment/neglect, and signs of mental health emergencies.
• Respond according to established organization and site-based plan in the event of on-site injuries or medical emergencies.
• Assist in ensuring that the program operates in compliance with all DOH/licensing mandates.
• Support a strong sense of community which values respect, ensuring that all children and families feel welcome and a sense of belonging.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including topics required to maintain organization compliance with funder and licensing requirements.
• Additional tasks as assigned to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

Qualifications: High school diploma required.

1-2 years of prior administrative experience required; experience working in a school, or an educational setting preferred.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, email correspondence, and database management is required; familiarity with funder databases is a plus.
