About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead and expand its principal and major gift fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will be a seasoned fundraiser with a proven ability to secure significant gifts and nurture long-term relationships. This role is pivotal in working with the President and CEO to elevate individual, corporate, and foundation giving programs, as well as in building the organization's long-term infrastructure for successful fundraising. The Chief Development Officer will be responsible for overall operating revenue and capital project fundraising strategies, recruiting and closing the most significant gifts, and managing a philanthropy team to achieve set goals. Key skills for the Chief Development Officer include being a philanthropic leader with expertise in securing 7 and 8-figure gifts, exceptional delegation and organizational skills, and a passion for making others successful. The role requires a candidate with a competitive yet empathetic nature, who can balance a sense of urgency with a servant leader's mentality. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 15 years in a similar role, and a track record of success in working alongside a motivated CEO. The Chief Development Officer will also be responsible for setting and defining organizational strategies to further the mission and impact of the company.
