Having sold over 1 million Asian beauty products on TikTok Shop and initiated several viral trends in the TikTok beauty space, we are looking to constantly push the envelope of what is possible in the intersection of Asian Beauty technology and Western sensibilities. Role Description We are seeking a highly creative and trend-aware Social Media Marketing Intern focused on content creation. This role is ideal for someone who loves TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form video content, and wants hands-on experience creating social-first content for a rapidly growing beauty brand. You’ll work closely with our marketing team and leadership to brainstorm, film, edit, and publish engaging content designed to drive views, engagement, and brand growth across platforms. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role where creativity, adaptability, and initiative are valued. Interest in creating Spanish-language content, experience with or enthusiasm for AI-powered content creation tools, and comfort appearing on camera or directing content for social media are all considered strong pluses. Key Responsibilities Assist in creating short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts Brainstorm and pitch content ideas aligned with current beauty, lifestyle, and social media trends Help film product showcases, tutorials, behind-the-scenes content, and trend-driven videos Edit videos using platforms such as CapCut, TikTok Editor, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools Support content planning and execution for social media campaigns Monitor trending sounds, formats, creators, and viral concepts Assist with organizing content calendars, shot lists, and creative assets Help capture in-office, product, and event-related content Collaborate with marketing, influencer, and creative teams on content initiatives Analyze basic social media performance metrics and identify high-performing content patterns Ensure content aligns with brand voice, aesthetic, and platform best practices Qualifications Passion for social media, content creation, beauty, and digital culture Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and current social trends Comfortable being behind the camera and occasionally on camera Basic video editing experience preferred Strong creativity and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly Strong communication and organizational skills Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative Interest in beauty, skincare, fashion, or influencer marketing preferred Preferred Skills Experience using CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing tools Familiarity with TikTok Shop or creator/influencer content Understanding of viral hooks, retention strategies, and short-form storytelling Photography or basic graphic design experience is a plus Compensation $18-22 / hour (DOE) Paid time off (after first 90 days) Schedule Part-time, Full-time Available Term 6 months Potential for extension and growth based on performance and business needs Ability to Commute Long Beach, CA 90806 Cocomint Inc. is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming workplace for all.
