Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the emergency department for a patient population ranging from newborns to geriatrics, with no obstetrics cases in this assignment.
• Perform triage, initial assessment, continuous monitoring, IV access, medication administration, wound care, and priority interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; respond to code emergencies as needed.
• Document patient status, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner experience preferred).
• Monitor for changes in patient condition, escalate as appropriate, and support patient and family education.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with hospital policies during fast-paced shifts.

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or an approved multi-state Compact (NH or Compact) at time of submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required at submission.
• Licensure verification through Nursys; provide all active RN licenses for verification.
• RTO (requested time off) must be included with submission.
• Experience: ER or acute care nursing preferred; willingness to learn and be trained in pediatric care if needed.
• EMR experience is preferred (Cerner experience is a plus; not required).
