Senior Product Manager

Senior Product ManagerIn the role of Senior Product Manager for Telecom, you will be responsible for the timely delivery of circuits to our data centers, retail, and corporate locations worldwide. You will work with lead engineers, project managers, and leadership to deliver connectivity optimal for computing at each location. You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of circuits throughout the organization, helping our organization minimize cost and maximize performance, seeking out opportunities to improve throughout contract cycles. You will work directly with Site Installation Services and Engineering to coordinate timely installations.Product Management is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle, from inception to retirement, of IT products that are delivered to our customers, business associates, and consumers. The job family manages the relationship between WSI business functions and IT to provide IT product and user experience solutions to meet the needs of the business.Duties/Day to Day OverviewFor project of diverse scope and complexityServes as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide product and user experience solutions to meet the business needsDevelops high level business requirements and translates them into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specificationsPrepares requirements, specifications, business process, and recommendationsUses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and proceduresResolves a wide range of issues in innovative and practical waysStrong knowledge of product management best practices, functional design, and application delivery methodologyUnderstands basic project management methodologyCustomer focused with high quality standardsDemonstrates strong interpersonal, business communication and writing skillsWorks on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factorsDemonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsNetworks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertiseStrong decision-making capabilities will result in meeting schedules and/or functional goals of department/unitFrequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group IC's/managers, normally involving matters between department and other functional areas or internal customersRegularly participates in a cooperative effort among members of a project teamTop Requirements (Must Haves)Experience with ordering circuits, turning down the circuitsManaging inventoryVery strong with Excel - not negotiableExperience with queries for large databasesBeing able to work with large amounts of dataMust be able to provide data on cost and how much things are costing the company to leadershipAccess database experienceThis person will be working with telecom carriers for provisioningExperience with Carriers such as: AT&T, Telecommunication, and Comcast are a HUGE plus
