Plona Partners is conducting a confidential search on behalf of an internationally recognized AmLaw 30 law firm seeking a Restructuring Paralegal to join its highly regarded Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice. This team represents debtors, official committees, secured lenders, investors, and other major stakeholders in some of the country's most complex corporate restructurings. You'll work alongside nationally recognized attorneys on matters that shape industries while receiving the mentorship, resources, and career development only a premier international law firm can provide. Location New York, NY or Chicago, IL Schedule Hybrid Compensation Annual Bonus As a key member of the restructuring team, you will support attorneys throughout every phase of sophisticated bankruptcy and restructuring matters by: Managing complex Chapter 11 case files from inception through confirmation Monitoring federal bankruptcy dockets and tracking critical deadlines Preparing first-day motions, petitions, notices, pleadings, proofs of claim, proofs of service, hearing agendas, and other bankruptcy filings Filing documents through CM/ECF and coordinating submissions with claims agents Preparing interim and final fee applications while reviewing billing entries for U.S. Trustee compliance Conducting legal research using Lexis, Westlaw, Shepard's, and other research platforms Performing cite checking, Bluebook citation review, precedent research, and factual investigations Assisting with trial preparation, witness materials, exhibits, hearing binders, and courtroom logistics Coordinating with attorneys, clients, court personnel, vendors, and internal departments throughout active matters Maintaining organized case files while managing multiple fast-moving restructuring engagements simultaneously We're interested in professionals who thrive in sophisticated legal environments and enjoy supporting high-stakes restructuring matters. Ideal candidates will have: 3–5 years of law firm paralegal experience Meaningful experience supporting Chapter 11 bankruptcy or restructuring matters Experience filing through CM/ECF Knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, local rules, and federal court practice Experience preparing fee applications and familiarity with U.S. Trustee billing guidelines Strong legal research skills using Lexis, Westlaw, and Shepard's Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat skills Outstanding organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced BigLaw environment Notary certification is a plus but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
