Cardiac Cath Lab RN - Fruita, CO

Advance your nursing career in a dynamic cardiac catheterization lab environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses seeking to utilize their clinical expertise in cardiovascular care while contributing to high-quality patient outcomes.


Schedule:

• Four 10-hour day shifts
• Participation in weekends required
• On-call shared obligations for nights, weekends, and holidays (30-minute response time required)

Qualifications:

• Current RN license (Single State or Compact)
• Minimum of one year Cath Lab nursing experience
• Active certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• Strong technical proficiency in cardiac/vascular procedures
• Excellent communication skills for patient and family education

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care and technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures under RN supervision
• Assist physicians, scrub in, and maintain sterile conditions for cardiac and vascular interventions
• Operate imaging equipment; monitor and document procedure images and events from the control room
• Provide thorough patient and family education before, during, and after procedures
• Support the upkeep and readiness of the Cath Lab, including inventory and cleanliness
• Accurately complete daily and discharge documentation, meeting departmental standards
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Identify safety hazards or process improvements and act as a patient advocate
