Cardiac Cath Lab RN in Loma, CO

Deliver critical technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures in a dynamic cardiac catheterization laboratory setting. This contract opportunity offers a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule with shared weekend coverage and on-call duties, requiring responsiveness within 30 minutes on nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates with 1+ years of experience and a valid RN License (Single State or Compact) are encouraged to apply.


Qualifications:

• Current RN License (Single State or Compact)
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in Cath Lab or related area
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong technical skills to assist in imaging and maintain sterile environments
• Ability to work effectively on a team and provide patient education during procedures
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care initiatives

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on technical support and patient care during cardiac catheterization and invasive cardiovascular procedures under RN supervision
• Assist physicians as scrub assistant, ensuring sterile technique and operating imaging equipment
• Monitor and document procedural images and events from the control room
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and post-procedure care
• Maintain unit cleanliness and restock necessary supplies for complex interventions
• Accurately complete all required documentation including daily progress and discharge notes
• Actively participate in quality improvement and patient safety efforts, identifying potential enhancements to workflow and safety
• Maintain alignment with organizational mission and uphold service behavior standards
