The division partners with departments to address development needs, strengthen talent, and support the City's mission and core values.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or a related fieldThree (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in leadership development or organizational development, supporting leaders at all levels including executive leadershipPreferred Qualifications:5+ years of management experienceSkilled in stakeholder engagement and project coordinationStrategic thinker with experience in talent development and succession planningComfortable with data analysis, reporting, and using digital learning toolsProject Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar) is a plusStrong facilitation and public speaking skillsExperience with curriculum design and content creationAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesThe Organizational Development Specialist job responsibilities include:Design and deliver tailored leadership development programs for senior leadersCreate initiatives that build engagement and knowledge-sharing between executives and employeesCurate citywide events connecting senior leadership with high-performing staffAssess department training needs and create aligned development strategiesLead engaging, high-quality new hire orientation experiencesDevelop interactive communications to promote learning and growth opportunitiesSupport training logistics, event planning, and stakeholder coordinationWorking Conditions and Physical Demand as stated on official City job descriptionDepending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.Sedentary Work – Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
