Accounts Receivable Supervisor

LHH is partnering with an established and growing Louisville-based client to identify a strong Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead their credit & collections function. This is a high-impact role focused on driving cash flow performance, strengthening credit decision-making, and leading a team in a fast-paced environment. This position offers ownership of collections strategy, visibility with leadership, and the opportunity to influence process improvements across the organization . Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop your team Drive accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement across the team Provide mentorship, training, and ongoing development to support team growth Credit & Collections Strategy Own collections performance through KPI tracking, reporting, and process optimization Analyze aging, payment trends, DSO, and portfolio performance to identify risks and opportunities Drive improvements in cash flow through strategic collections execution and structured reporting Evaluate customer credit exposure and make informed credit decisions on high-value accounts Manage escalated risk scenarios and enforce credit policies and controls Monitor customer risk and ensure compliance with internal policies and credit insurance requirements Reporting & Analytics Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting on collections performance and portfolio health Provide data-driven insights to leadership to support decision-making Leverage Excel and systems to improve reporting visibility and efficiency Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration Serve as the escalation point for complex customer issues and disputes Partner with internal teams and customers to improve payment outcomes Utilize strong negotiation skills to balance business performance with customer relationships Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit, with leadership experience required Strong background in credit decision-making and collections strategy Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial/accounting systems Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities Preferred Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or construction environments Familiarity with liens, bonds, or credit insurance processes Competitive market salary with discretionary, EOY bonus.
