Technician 2

Role Summary Mechanic – Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a fleet of Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and specialty equipment such as large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems and oil/gas related equipment. Work in a safety‑focused environment and support Sunbelt Rentals’ goal of equipment availability and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel and heavy equipment. Diagnose mechanical or electrical issues using troubleshooting skills. Repair or replace hydraulic and electrical systems efficiently to minimize downtime. Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced work setting. Qualifications High school diploma or GED (trade school or equivalent training desired). 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, or specialty lines equipment such as generators, pumps, HVAC or oil & gas units (preferably). Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Bilingual in Spanish or another language may be required based on location. Availability to work indoors/outdoors; ability to lift 50lbs or more. Physical Demands Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50lbs or more; work required both indoors and outdoors.
