Banquet Chef

Job Description

• Personally and through delegated duties, prepare all menu items for banquets.
• Specify and order all food for banquet functions.
• Responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of food products used in banquets.
• Ensure that all sanitation standards are consistently practiced by all members of the banquet prep staff.
• Ensure that all preventative and repair maintenance on all banquet equipment is completed.
• Maintain food and labor costs at an acceptable level.
• Responsible for personnel-related matters including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating, promoting, counseling, and discharging.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in the same or similar position preferred.
• Must be able to cook a variety of cuisines in a banquet setting.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time during shift.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
