Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2-3 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, PALS, NCI, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with adults and pediatrics Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in telemetry. The unit has 15 beds, providing care to adults and pediatrics. The nurse will work a 12-hour night shift for a duration of 13 weeks. The required experience is between 2 to 3 years in a similar setting. Candidates must possess a valid nursing license and required certifications such as BLS, PALS, NCI, and ACLS. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:6. Support on the unit includes respiratory therapy available 24/7. The nurse will be involved in responding to codes and rapid response calls. Crash cart checks will be part of the responsibilities. An intensivist is available within 10 minutes during the night shift. A house supervisor is present 24/7 for additional support. Charting will be done using the EPIC system. Experience with certain equipment such as BD Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing is preferred. Weekend rotation occurs every other weekend, with holiday rotation shared among staff. Manager approval is required for time off requests. Scrub color is designated as ceil blue and/or royal blue.
