Registered Nurse - Emergency Observation Unit

This is a 16-week contract position.

Nights - 12 hours: 7 PM to 7 AM, 36 hours per week. Weekend requirement: One weekend shift per contracted week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least one holiday per contract.

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Observation Unit, a 13-bed unit dedicated to providing 24-hour observation care. You will play a vital role in assisting with ED boarder patients who are awaiting admission.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Observation Unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, ensuring optimal care and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and treatment.
• Document patient information accurately in the EPIC system.
• Assist with ED boarder patients as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience.
• Active New York RN license.
• Certifications: NIH, AHA BLS, and PALS.
• 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates.
