Payroll Specialist I

Escalante Golf is a privately held, boutique owner and operator of luxury golf properties across the country. The Company was established in 1991, and over the years, has successfully assembled a portfolio of some of the finest golf courses and private clubs in the United States. The Company has been in a growth mode for many years and expects continued growth in the foreseeable future. Full-time in the Fort Worth Office. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a understanding of payroll processes, a working knowledge of regulatory requirements, and an ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This role requires organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. The Payroll Specialist will work with our payroll service provider, Dayforce, and employees to ensure timely and accurate payrolls. Responsibilities Assist with biweekly payrolls across 2 pay groups for multiple states and EINs Review timekeeping records for 33 entities, hours worked, tips, and overtime Maintain and update employee payroll records to ensure accuracy across pay periods Audit payroll reports before and after processing for accuracy Respond to employee and manager payroll inquiries in a timely manner Assist with garnishments, child support, and other wage attachments Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations Assist with internal and external audits and provide required documentation Support Dayforce system troubleshooting and issues resolution Researching and resolving employee pay issues and direct deposit concerns Identifies opportunities to improve payroll processes and documents them in clear SOPs for team and field support. Qualifications 1-3 years of payroll experience required Experience with payroll/HRIS systems (Ceridian Dayforce experience a plus) High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in both verbal and written communication. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Rigorous attention to detail to ensure fast and precise data entry and processing, and spot errors and discrepancies Self-motivation and organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines Problem-solving skills to dig into errors, identify the cause, and find solutions Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Preferred Certifications FPC or CPP (PayrollOrg) preferred, not required Salary range $55k based on experience Health benefits are offered Opportunities for career development and advancement #J-18808-Ljbffr Escalante Golf
