Position: Safety Manager (Site) / Full-time

Job Description:

The Site Safety Manager is a management level position reporting directly to the Safety Director, Senior Project Manager, and Managing Member.

Location: The Site Safety Manager will work primarily on site in Mansfield, LA. After job completion, candidates will be staffed on another site across the US.

Approximate schedule : M-F 7am-5pm Approximate hours: 45-50 hrs a week

Job Location: Texas, plus travel

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Support Safety Director

• Assist with the development and administration of safety programs, policies, employee training, and reports
• Manage compliance reporting and employee medical monitoring in coordination with the Safety Director

Site Oversight & Compliance

• Provide direct oversight and guidance to the on-site project team
• Monitor site conditions, work practices, and procedures for adherence to OSHA, EPA, and Total Wrecking policies
• Conduct daily site safety meetings and manage Behavior-Based Observation (BBO) program
• Serve as a key resource for health and safety questions and concerns on the jobsite

Safety Planning & Program Implementation

• Develop and implement site-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP)
• Participate in jobsite planning and safety assessments
• Design and oversee safety work plans that align with regulatory and company requirements

Audits, Inspections & Risk Mitigation

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and enforce safe work practices
• Stay informed on emerging safety issues and recommend appropriate hazard controls

Training & Culture Building

• Deliver ongoing safety training sessions and toolbox talks
• Mentor employees to promote a proactive safety culture

Incident Response & Investigation

• Lead investigations into accidents and near misses
• Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Participate in the review and documentation of incidents for continuous improvement

Requirements:

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Prior Demolition and/or Environmental Health and Safety Management
• Safety statistics tracking and calculation
• Knowledge and use of ISNetworld, Avetta and like databases
• 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
• OSHA 500 Certification, preferred
• Excellent written, oral, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills
• Ability to train and mentor others

Must have/Minimum Requirements:

• Knowledge and experience with asbestos abatement
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products ( i.e. Outlook, Word, Projects, Excel)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to travel as needed
