Registered Nurse - Operating Room

$2529.60/week - Job Summary: The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive perioperative patient care, ensuring safety and quality throughout surgical procedures. The role requires collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Administer preoperative and intraoperative nursing care, assessing patient needs and implementing individualized plans. Operate and monitor clinical equipment and instrumentation to maintain a sterile, safe environment. Recognize and address safety issues, including the proper use of lifts and patient mobility techniques. Coordinate with surgical teams, provide leadership as needed, and assume charge nurse responsibilities. Respond to on-call emergencies within a 30-minute response time while maintaining patient safety standards. Educate patients and families about perioperative processes, procedures, and recovery expectations. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with active NYS RN license. Minimum of 13 weeks of RN experience in an operating room setting. Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred. Demonstrate strong assessment, leadership, and critical thinking skills. Ability to function effectively under stress and in emergency situations. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
