Work Environment\n

This position allows for remote work flexibility, enabling you to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while effectively collaborating with team members via digital platforms. The typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of our patients. Utilizing modern telehealth technologies, you will be equipped to deliver high-quality care regardless of location.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patient histories and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the unique needs of each patient.

• Deliver effective therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through trauma processing, coping strategy development, and emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care delivery.

• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies to clients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA and professional ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives to improve trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in trauma therapy through ongoing education and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve primarily include individuals affected by trauma, which may encompass post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient population ranges from adolescents to adults seeking support on their journeys to recovery. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Connecticut.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health therapy.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Experience implementing trauma-focused therapies and interventions to facilitate patient recovery.

• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• The ability to remain composed under pressure and manage high-stress situations effectively.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient management and documentation.

• Capability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating flexibility and open communication.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is expected, candidates with advanced training or certifications in trauma therapy techniques will have an advantage. Experience in remote therapy settings and familiarity with telehealth technologies are highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
