Insurance Collections Specialist

Insurance Collections Specialist Full‑time position at Ridgeview Institute Smyrna located in Smyrna, GA 30080. Salary: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Shift: Day. Travel: None. Responsibilities Contact commercial and Medicaid payors to collect on unpaid claims in a timely and accurate manner. Submit account corrections and adjustments. Manage denial and appeal submissions when required. Monitor payment variances and verify accurate payer payment. Analyze A/R trends and collaborate with management to address root causes. Communicate effectively with team members and departments to resolve accounts. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent (preferred). Minimum one (1) year of experience in mental health collections or a related field. Experience with insurance billing, computer and business software programs (Excel) preferred. Basic PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of basic medical terminology. Ability to work flexible hours if required. Skills Understanding of third‑party payer rules and regulations. Ability to read UB04 forms and EOBs. Knowledge of payer contracts and verification of correct payer payment.
