Work Study StudentThe Work Study Student will support the Department of Communication Arts as an Office Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Employment is contingent upon funding. Please confirm your Federal Work-Study eligibility with the Office of Financial Aid.Responsibilities:Greets and assists visitors, students, faculty, and staff in a professional and friendly mannerMaintains office supply inventory and notifies staff when supplies need to be reorderedRuns campus errands, including delivering and picking up documents or materialsPrepares materials for meetings, orientations, workshops, and campus eventsHelps set up and break down meeting and event spaces as neededShift Specifics: Up to 12 hours per week. Flexible with schedule of availability.Required Qualifications:Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.Must be Federal Work eligible.Preferred Qualifications:Previous office and customer service experienceExceptional communication skillsProfessional, organized, and detail-orientedAbility to support various constituencies served by the UniversityProficiency with computer applications and Microsoft Office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databasesExperience with Canva, Adobe Express, and Piktochart is a plusProposed Salary: $12.00 per hour.
