The Student Assistant will support the Dining Commons as an Inventory Stock Clerk on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. The Student Inventory Stock Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizing stock, and ensuring that products and supplies are readily available for use. This position involves receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, tracking inventory, and assisting with the overall management of inventory systems. The role will require working in coolers and freezers to organize perishable goods, ensuring proper storage and rotation to maintain product quality and minimize waste. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Receives and checks in deliveries, ensuring items match invoices and are in good condition Stocks shelves and storage areas with supplies and products Organizes inventory to ensure easy access and accurate tracking Tracks inventory levels and notifies supervisors when restocks are needed Assists with inventory audits and ensures proper documentation of inventory counts Maintains cleanliness and organization in storage areas Labels and organizes stock for easy identification Assists in preparing orders for departments or facilities as needed Performs regular inspections of stock to ensure it is properly stored and maintained Helps with unloading and moving inventory shipments Follows all safety procedures and guidelines related to the handling of materials Shift Specifics Up to 25 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Shifts available Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM 5:00 PM -10:00 PM

Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

$10.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
