This is not a single-team Scrum Master position. The development teams on this program belong to other organizations, and your job is to bring them into a shared cadence and a common Definition of Done rather than to run a team of your own. It takes influence instead of authority, and it rewards someone who enjoys that difference.The program is greenfield, so the cadence you facilitate is one you help establish. You work alongside a team of Agile practitioners and architects, and as new development teams onboard over time, you help each one find its footing inside the framework.What You Will DoFacilitate sprint ceremonies and delivery cadence across development teams you do not directly manageCoach teams into the program's shared cadence and tailored Definition of DoneHelp remove impediments and surface cross-team blockers to the Project Manager and Release Train EngineerPartner with the Product Owner on backlog readiness and sprint planning supportSupport new development teams as they onboard into the established cadenceWork with a team of Agile practitioners and architects to mature delivery practices over timeWhat You Bring6+ years of Scrum Master or Agile delivery experience3+ years facilitating multiple teams concurrently, or teams the Scrum Master does not directly manageExperience working in a SAFe environmentStrong facilitation and conflict-navigation skills across organizational boundariesAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust suitability determinationPreferredCertified ScrumMaster (CSM), Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certificationExperience supporting federal civilian or defense programs, particularly multi-contractor environmentsExperience helping stand up Agile practices in a new or transforming organizationPosition DetailsThis position is contingent upon contract award, with a tentative start date of September 1, 2026. Work is remote-first; occasional onsite support in Washington, DC may be coordinated with the Government.
