Medical Director - Surgery Center

Somnia Anesthesia is seeking a Medical Director to lead a collaborative, clinician-driven team at our multi-specialty outpatient surgery center site. In this role, you will shape care delivery, support team development, and foster a collegial environment that values excellence and balance. You will operate within a hybrid Medical Direction and CRNA independent practice model while enjoying a favorable Monday through Friday schedule with no call requirements. Practice Info Multi-specialty outpatient surgery center site Same-day surgery case mix including GI and endoscopy with 4,800 cases annually and surgical cases with 4,600 cases annually across General, Ortho, Uro, and Plastics Hybrid Medical Direction / CRNA Independent practice model Responsibilities Lead a collaborative, clinician-driven team at our multi-specialty outpatient surgery center site Shape care delivery, support team development, and ensure a thriving, collegial environment that values excellence, growth, and balance Manage up to 6-7 rooms daily, typically including 3-4 ORs and 2-3 GI rooms in a hybrid Medical Direction and CRNA Independent practice model Participate in ASC management meetings and administrative work as needed, including policy development and quality reviews Compensation $600K package Commencement bonus of $50,000 for a 2-year commitment Referral bonus of up to $5,000 if a referred colleague is hired Benefits 8 weeks PTO CME up to $3,000 Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Malpractice coverage (W2) 401(k) and flexible spending accounts (W2) Relocation allowance if relocating from out of state or area Shift & Schedule Monday through Friday, 50 hours per week No call Daily hours from 7a to 5p, up to 10-hour days, often finishing earlier Qualifications Licensed in MI or eligible for licensure Board Certification ACLS PALS BLS
