This role spans several school sites and age groups, with placements determined after assignments. Assignments may include opportunities such as working one-on-one with a student at the high school level, supporting elementary or middle schools, participating in transition services, or assisting specialized centers. Weekly hours vary by location, ranging from 34 to 37.5 hours.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum one full year of experience in special education classrooms required
• Background supporting significant or severe caseloads strongly preferred
• Flexibility to be reassigned between different age groups and school sites as needed
• Reliable personal transportation required (public transit, ride-share not accepted)
• Ability to regularly arrive by 7:40am (elementary) or 8:00am (middle/high schools)
• Willingness to assist students with toileting and diapering, if necessary
• Must provide 2 completed professional RefAssured references upon application
• Successful fingerprinting following offer acceptance; any criminal charges will result in ineligibility

Role Responsibilities:

• Support instructional and non-instructional activities as directed by school staff
• Provide individualized assistance and interventions to students in special education settings
• Maintain flexibility to adjust to varied schedules, placements, and caseloads
