Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with varying disabilities and learning challenges
- Ability to develop, implement, and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and related service providers
- Classroom management expertise and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with current special education best practices and state or federal regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities in a variety of settings
- Develop clear, measurable IEP goals and monitor progress
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to fit individual student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and required compliance records
- Communicate regularly with families to share progress and address any concerns
- Support a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
