About the Position

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 8-10 hours per day depending on patient volume; overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Dates include 9/8/2026-10/30/2026, 11/16/2026-11/22/2026, with ongoing need through 9/24/2027.
• Job Setting: Outpatient oncology center; community hospital. Stroke certified, non-trauma facility.
• Types of Cases: Hematology and Oncology; 12-15 patients per day. Joining an established, well-staffed practice with 3 permanent HemOnc providers already on-site, plus 6 RNs, 1 PA/NP, and 6 office staff.
• Call: Beeper only; assigned/established patients; very light (2-5 calls per week); phone consults only; 1-hour response time required.
• EMR System: Aria
• Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search. Preference given to long-term commitment and driving-distance candidates; permanent placement potential.

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required; fellowship required (3 years)
• Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS
• Licensure: Active Virginia (VA) license required; IMLC not accepted
• Credentialing: Estimated 60 days; temporary privileges available
• Provider Type: Physician
• Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers: Not required
• Resident/Teaching Supervision: Not required
