General Equipment Operator – 2nd Shift
Location: Vernon, CA
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Our client is a leading aluminum manufacturing company serving the transportation, food and beverage packaging, aerospace, and engineering industries. The company is seeking a dependable General Equipment Operator to join its extrusion operations team.
Job SummaryThe General Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring extrusion and related equipment used in the production of aluminum products. This position requires following all safety practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Operate extrusion equipment and related handling equipment.
- Operate stretchers, saws, and testing equipment.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and job safety practices.
- Operate mobile equipment as required.
- Prepare production samples for testing and quality control.
- Pack and prepare aluminum extrusion products for shipment.
- Load trucks and assist with material handling activities.
- Inspect products and processes to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills required.
- Previous manufacturing, production, or equipment operation experience is preferred.
