Lab Support Operator

Shift: 2nd shift - 1.30pm to 10pm Monday to Friday There could be a possibility (TBD) to convert once the 6-months assignment comes to an end. Position Overview: The Lab Support Operator I is responsible for various tasks within the manufacturing process, including preparing work orders to pack chromatography columns, assembling products, maintaining optimal stock levels, supplying solvents and hardware, manufacturing security guard cartridges of various types and sizes, and recycling failed columns. This position reports to the Production Manager and is part of the Manufacturing & Operations team located in Torrance, CA. It is an on-site role. Opportunities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Be cross-trained to work in one of the following departments, rotating as needed: Sorbent Room: Accurately weigh and label sorbents; pick appropriate empty column assemblies (order from product assembly if needed). Product Assembly: Assemble empty column hardware (end fittings, frits, and tubing). Security Guard: Pack different sorbents in security guard hardware. Recycling: Unpack columns and recycle materials according to procedure. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma + 1 year of experience (preferred) Requires analytical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail, and focus on tasks. Preferred Experience: Assure inventory accuracy via timely transactions, perform cycle counts under supervision. Follow written instructions (SOP) for all critical processes.
