Accounting Assistant

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting, credit, and customer account activities. This role works closely with management and provides backup support for Accounts Payable as needed. Key Responsibilities Responsible for daily credit and account-related functions Reconcile daily cash drawer activity Process customer payments, deposits, and account transactions Set up and maintain new customer accounts Process trade references and obtain commercial credit reports Assist with resolving customer billing questions, account discrepancies, and disputes Provide professional customer service by phone, email, and in person Complete month-end accounting procedures and closing-related tasks Assist with daily accounting operations and month-end close Perform account reconciliations, including bank statement reconciliations Serve as backup support for Accounts Payable functions Maintain organized, accurate records and documentation Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, collections, or general accounting Familiarity with commercial credit checks, trade references, and customer account setup Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, creative approach to resolving issues Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment #926
