As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with a reliable, agile, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $26.48 / Hour Job Schedule: Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the data center campus, building interiors, exterior areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site operations. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and required actions. Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a controlled environment for critical technology infrastructure. Minimum Requirements: CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
