Logistics Clerk

As the first person a customer interacts with when they need assistance and the last voice they hear before heading back on the water, you will manage the full service intake and delivery process. You will coordinate between customers and our certified technicians to deliver a smooth, transparent, and stress-free experience.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and organize the inventory of boat parts for the repair shop and dealership.
• Assist with shipping and receiving inventory parts.
• Conduct thorough intake interviews with service customers to document concerns and service history accurately.
• Write clear and detailed repair orders, translating customer descriptions into actionable technician instructions.
• Provide accurate estimates for labor, parts, and timeframes, and obtain customer approvals before work begins.
• Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the repair process, proactively communicating status updates.
• Coordinate workflow with service technicians and the parts department to keep jobs on schedule.
• Process warranty claims and follow up on approvals with manufacturers.
• Review completed repair orders for accuracy before presenting invoices and explaining work performed.
• Identify and recommend additional maintenance needs to customers in a consultative, non-pushy manner.
• Maintain accurate records in our dealership management system.
• Contribute to service department goals including revenue, customer satisfaction, and turnaround time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• No prior marine experience required training provided
• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Genuine enthusiasm for boating, watersports, or outdoor recreation
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus

Work Environment:

Work in a laid-back luxury boat dealership. Hours are 9-5 during winter months and 9-6 in the busy season. Once trained, you will have the autonomy to work independently.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
