Location: Richardson, TX | Payrate: $25/hour | Schedule: 1st shift, 8am to 5pm

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading electronics manufacturing company to hire a full-time Administrative Support professional for a 3–4 month assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a dynamic role that combines administrative support, employee interaction, customer service, and hands-on operational responsibilities.

As a key member of the team, you'll play an important role in supporting daily business operations while managing the company's smock program, assisting employees and visitors, maintaining critical records, and helping create a welcoming and organized workplace environment.

What You'll Do

In this multifaceted role, you'll support both administrative functions and smock management operations, including:

Smock Management Responsibilities

  • Distribute smocks daily to employees.

  • Monitor and maintain smock inventory levels.

  • Inspect damaged, worn, or soiled smocks for replacement.

  • Coordinate weekly smock deliveries and returns.

  • Maintain accurate smock logs and tracking records.

  • Process returned garments and ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Assist with additional smock-related projects and assignments.

Administrative & Office Support

  • Provide routine administrative and customer service support to managers and staff.

  • Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately.

  • Welcome visitors and maintain a professional front desk presence.

  • Issue and track visitor, contractor, and employee security badges.

  • Maintain visitor logs and employee photo databases.

  • Gather, sort, enter, and verify data within company databases.

  • Produce, edit, and proofread reports, presentations, and correspondence.

  • Schedule meetings, appointments, conference rooms, and travel arrangements.

  • Maintain calendars, files, records, and departmental documentation.

  • Order office supplies and coordinate services as needed.

  • Receive, screen, and distribute incoming mail.

  • Respond to routine employee and customer inquiries regarding policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2–4 years of administrative, office support, receptionist, or customer service experience.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional demeanor with a customer-focused mindset.

  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong attendance record.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.

  • Experience managing inventory, uniforms, supplies, or similar operational programs.

  • Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and visitor management processes.

  • Experience maintaining databases and generating reports.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on role that requires more than traditional office work. Candidates should be comfortable with:

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.

  • Repeated bending, reaching, lifting, and hanging smocks.

  • Daily interaction with employees, visitors, contractors, and leadership teams.

  • Sustained use of computers and office equipment.

  • Performing tasks that require attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour

Our benefit offerings provide employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. In addition, our associates may be eligible for paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable.
