RN - Pediatric ER

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nursing)

Shift: 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients across various age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The nurse will handle a diverse range of patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psych beds.
• Common Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, including pediatric experience.
• Valid and active NY RN license, along with all other RN licenses.
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Proficient in EPIC EMR.
• Travel nursing experience is required.
• Ability to float to other units as necessary.

Preferred Skills:

• Charge capability is highly preferred.
• Ability to provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
