Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nursing)The Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This position involves working with a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.Unit SpecificsCommon Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory FailureSpecialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic SunBed Capacity: 64 beds, including 2 Triage beds, 40 Acute beds, 6 Super Track beds, 2 Trauma beds, 10 Clinical Decision Unit beds, and 6 Psychiatric bedsResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive and patient-centered care in the Emergency Department.Assist with triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.Document all care provided in the electronic medical record (EMR).Prepare and maintain the emergency care environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, including pediatric experience.Active RN license in New York and all other state licenses.Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC required in hand).Experience with EMR, specifically EPIC.Strong ability to float to different departments as needed.Charge capability is highly preferred.Join us in delivering exceptional emergency care to a varied patient population.
