Description:
The Human Resources Assistant supports the daily functions of the HR department by providing administrative, clerical, and operational support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role assists with employee records management, onboarding, attendance tracking, and general HR processes.
Requirements:Ability to support:
- Attendance tracking
- Disciplinary documentation
- New hire onboarding for hourly workforce
- Must handle sensitive employee information with discretion
- Understanding of HR confidentiality expectations
Experience with:
- Employee records
- Onboarding / orientation
- Data entry and reporting
- Recruiting
Proficient in:
- Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, tracking)
- Microsoft Word / Outlook
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity) preferred
- Ability to interact professionally with:
- Hourly employees
- Supervisors
- Leadership
- Clear verbal and written communication
- 0–3 years in HR, administrative, or office support role
- Manufacturing or plant experience strongly preferred
