Payroll Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for independently managing a comprehensive range of payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee paychecks. This role requires adherence to all applicable federal, state, and organizational policies and regulations. The Payroll Coordinator will collaborate closely with Human Resources, Department Managers, and employees to address payroll inquiries and maintain compliance with payroll laws and reporting requirements. Responsibilities:
- Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule in compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations.
- Manage reimbursements and payroll adjustments as necessary.
- Coordinate payroll processing for multiple shifts and various job types.
- Maintain and update payroll records using PeopleSoft and automated time and attendance systems.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Form W-2 reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Department Managers to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll data.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in employee payroll processing and reimbursements.
- Proficiency with PeopleSoft payroll system in a high-volume healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Experience with automated time and attendance systems; API experience is a plus.
- Understanding of Federal Form W-2 reporting requirements.
- Experience working in a healthcare payroll environment.
- Familiarity with multiple shift payroll processing.
- API integration experience with payroll systems.
- On-site position requiring physical presence during assigned shifts.
- Strict adherence to payroll confidentiality and data security policies.
- Work involves significant interaction with multiple departments and staff levels.
- Standard 5-day workweek, Monday through Friday.
- Day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Assignment length of 26 weeks.
