Position Overv iew A s a Solution Archi tect, you will play a key role in designing scalable, business-aligned technology solutions that support strategic initiatives across Site Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Sustainability, and other enterprise functi ons.Working closely with business stakeholders, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and engineering teams, you will translate business needs into robust architectural solutions, guide technology decisions, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards throughout the product lifecy cle.This role requires a strong combination of enterprise architecture expertise, business analysis capabilities, cloud technologies, and systems integration experience. The successful candidate will help drive innovation while balancing technical excellence, long-term scalability, and business va lue.This position requi res daily on-site presence in South San Franc i sco.Key Responsibili signDesign end-to-end technology solutions that align with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, and regulatory requireme nts.Define scalable application, integration, and data architectures that support long-term business gro wth.Develop and evolve solution architectures throughout the entire product lifecycle, including functional and non-functional requirements (NF Rs).Ensure solutions are secure, maintainable, performant, and scala ble.Business & Technical Align mentPartner with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives, business processes, and operational challen ges.Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical solution designs and architecture specificati ons.Lead discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and solution reviews to establish target-state processes and capabilit ies.Enterprise Collabora tionCollaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Infrastructure teams, Security, and Enterprise Architecture organizati ons.Provide technical leadership throughout solution delivery while ensuring architectural consistency across multiple systems and platfo rms.Serve as the primary architecture advisor for complex cross-functional initiati tionDevelop and maintain product and technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise strat egy.Evaluate emerging technologies, cloud services, enterprise platforms, and third-party soluti ons.Lead Proofs of Concept (PoCs), technology assessments, and vendor evaluations to support strategic investment decisi ons.Balance innovation with technical debt management and long-term maintainabil ity.Integration & Data Architec tureDesign robust integration architectures using modern API, event-driven, and cloud-native patte rns.Develop conceptual and logical data models that ensure consistency, scalability, and data integrity across enterprise syst ems.Support digital transformation initiatives involving connected systems, IoT-enabled environments, and data-driven decision-mak ing. Required Qualifica tionsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related technical discip line.6–8+ years of experience in enterprise IT, including Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, and Business Anal ents.Strong expertis ctureRequirements Ana lysisApplication D esignData Architecture (Conceptual & Logical Mo ationAPI D turesExperience working with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow or similar enterprise workflow solut ions.Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Microsoft Az ure).Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business and technical t eams.Preferred Qualifica tionsExperience within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, or Life Sciences indu stry.Exposure to Site Operations, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), Sustainability, Engineering, Facilities Management, Logistics, or Manufacturing dom ains.Experience supporting IoT, smart building, or industrial digital transformation initiat ives.Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as T OGAF.Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect Expert, or equival ent).Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP or PMI-PBA are highly desir able.Knowledge of regulated environments and GxP compliance is a plus.What You’ll BringStrategic thinking with the ability to align technology solutions to business outc omes.Strong analytical and systems-thinking capabili ties.Excellent communication and presentation skills with both technical and executive audie nces.Ability to influence architecture decisions across multiple stakeholder gr oups.Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and emerging technolo gies.Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work effectively across global t eams.Commitment to delivering scalable, sustainable, and high-quality enterprise solut ions.
