A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in critical care and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) support. This contract role is based in Binghamton, NY, and requires dedication to delivering exceptional respiratory care in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage respiratory care for critical and NICU patients, utilizing advanced ventilator technology including V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor therapy effectiveness.
• Participate in external patient transports to ensure continuous respiratory support.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all procedures and patient interactions accurately using EPIC.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by NBRC.
• Valid New York State Respiratory Therapist License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proven experience in critical care and NICU respiratory therapy.
• Proficient in operating V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett Ventilators.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Ability to participate in external patient transports confidently.

Schedule:

• Dayshift, 36 hours per week
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
