1st Shift Team Lead - Receiving Department: Materials/Inventory Employment Type: Full Time Location: US - Wisconsin - Madison Reporting To: Tom Trotter Description Responsible for the handling and processing of shipments, receiving, work orders, pick slips, transporting inventory, Kanban replenishment and maintaining accurate inventory locations and counts throughout the warehouse. Key Responsibilities Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Fueling Systems Quality System. Follow detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures. Report problems with safety, quality, process, equipment, and materials to Warehouse Supervisor. Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Operates a powered industrial forklift to transport inventory, unload and load trucks. Pulls and stages orders for shipment or production use. Fills and transacts work orders, purchase orders, or sales orders. Performs cycle counts. Performs quality checks on stock items to report defects or damage. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Skills Knowledge and Expertise Skills and Abilities Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards. Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team. Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks. Completes some moderately repetitive tasks. Education and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). 6 months or more experience working in shipping or receiving (preferred). Computer Skills Basic: Barcode scanner. Certificates and Licenses Forklift Certification (preferred). Physical Activities While performing the functions of this job, the employee is: Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; and grip with hand or fingers. Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.; push or pull; sit; bend or twist; stoop or crouch; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension; activate foot control. Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100lbs.; stand; walk; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; use upper extremities. The employee must continually lift or move 10lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with occasional accurate depth perception and distance viewing. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance. Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech. Work Environment This position is subjected to harmful environmental conditions and is located in a manufacturing type environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position is Frequently exposed to extreme heat, vibration, and moving mechanical hazard; and Infrequently exposed to wet/humid conditions. This job consists of shift work up to 10 hours per day and may be required to work overtime as needed. Respirator fit testing and equipment is provided upon request of the employee.
