Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care UnitAmerican TravelerOverland Park, Kansas, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$2,249.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/PCU RN for a float pool position requiring 1-2 years of experience and a Kansas/Missouri or compact RN license in hand.DetailsFloat pool position covering approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments with floating to other metro campuses as neededNight shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)Patient ratio of 1:5Weekend requirement of 8 shifts within Saint Luke's 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unitNo on-call requirementsNo block scheduling accommodationsUtilizes Virtual Nurses, 12 lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell systemsRequirementsActive Kansas and Missouri RN license or compact license required in hand at time of consideration due to floating requirementsBLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred1-2 years of experience required, with 2 years of recent in-specialty experience preferred including a full year within the past 12 months and no employment gaps greater than 90 daysExperience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown settings requiredSkilled in cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and on-unit telemetry monitoringExperience with pre/post cardiac cath care required; sheath removal experience preferredExperience managing sepsis, wound care, ETOH, SI, renal failure, AFIB, GIB, stroke, and COVID patients requiredPreferred skills include feeding tube care/management, port access, blood product administration, and central line care/managementTwo professional references required, one from a supervisor or above and the second from a charge RN, both from within the past yearPending licenses not acceptedAdditional InformationWill not be assigned a home unit and must float between multiple Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments and campuses as neededEPIC training module completion required, with option to test out or complete full moduleInfusion pump and glucometer training must be completed prior to startRTO limited to a maximum of 7 daysCandidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be consideredNo travel partners acceptedPrevious charge RN experience preferredEmployees with 18 months of tenure require a 3-month break in service before returning as a traveler; permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a travelerFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyHours per week: 36Hours per shift: 12
