Human Resources Generalist

Location: Ditmas Children’s Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, rehabilitation, or nursing home settings. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting daily HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and staff engagement initiatives. This position requires a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees. Coordinate employee orientation and ensure completion of all required employment documentation. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and workers’ compensation processes. Support employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and promoting a positive workplace culture. Monitor and maintain compliance with healthcare and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with department managers on staffing needs and workforce planning. Assist with performance management, employee recognition, and retention initiatives. Prepare HR reports, audits, and other administrative documentation as required. Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience required. Healthcare, nursing home, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
