Security Shift Supervisor - Armed Full Time

Position Summary Security Shift Supervisor – Armed. Full‑time position in one of the nation’s largest transit security contracts. Starting pay: $34.83 per hour plus health and welfare benefits ($4.57 per hour supplement). Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of armed security personnel. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures. Maintain a strong presence on site, capable of standing or walking for long periods and working outdoors in various conditions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 21 years of age. 5+ years of armed security experience. 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role. Active DC Guard License (SPO – Armed) or Active MD Guard Card (Armed) or VA DCJS Armed Guard License. Valid CPR, OC spray, handcuff, and baton certifications. Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting. Must read and understand all operating procedures and instructions. Licensing requirements subject to state and local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment. Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience and clean driving record. Successful background investigation and drug/alcohol test. Intermediate computer skills for reporting and wireless technology. Excellent customer service, communication, and crisis‑management skills. Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods, work in various weather conditions, lift up to 40 lbs, climb stairs/ramps/ladders occasionally.
