As a Security Guard - Full Time - Mornings in Cedar Rapids, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Security Professional at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of access activity, incidents, deliveries, and/or unusual occurrences, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
