Principal Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: $114,600 - 234,600 per year Requirements:

• We require a BS or MS in Computer Science, a related technical discipline involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
• We expect at least 8 years of overall software development experience.
• We value strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms.
• We need proficiency in Java, Go, C#, or a similar object-oriented language.
• We look for experience building highly available services, including familiarity with service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocols.
• We require experience with modern infrastructure components such as service discovery, secret management, containerization, and software-defined networking.

• We will have you build a robust software stack from the ground up to monitor and manage network infrastructure.
• We will have you create automation that resolves network issues and helps maintain high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity for AI workloads.
• We will have you assemble and guide a team that blends software engineering strength with network control expertise.
• We will have you partner with senior technical leaders to design and deliver solutions to complex, high-impact challenges.
• We will have you own the software design and development of major components of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• We will have you independently handle most projects and tasks while contributing as a distributed systems generalist.
• We will have you dive into low-level systems and broader distributed system interactions as needed.
• We will have you design and launch major features into production.
• We will have you operate high-scale services and improve their resilience.
• We will have you make sound tradeoffs, communicate decisions clearly, and execute with precision as the team builds a new service.
