Responsibilities

Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation in accordance with safety and procedural standards.

Verify patient demographic information and obtain signatures as needed to ensure specimen integrity.

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to blood collection and processing activities.

Create a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Perform duties independently or as part of a team, with flexibility to work at multiple locations, including weekends, holidays, and overtime if required.

Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety protocols, dress code, and confidentiality standards.

Required Skills

Strong phlebotomy skills with experience in pediatric, geriatric, capillary, and venipuncture collections.

Excellent customer service and communication abilities to effectively engage with patients and team members.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with accuracy.

Accurate keyboard and data entry skills for documentation purposes.

Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially for roles in California, Nevada, and Washington.

1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections; experience in a patient service center environment preferred.

Available to work flexible hours, including Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential travel between multiple locations.

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
