EHS Manager (2pm-12pm Shift)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and advance our EHS program for mission-critical data center operations. The EHS Manager will develop, implement and maintain EHS policies and procedures that ensure regulatory compliance, protect employee and contractor safety, minimize environmental impact, and support uninterrupted data center availability. This role requires proven EHS management experience in data center or similar industrial facilities, strong risk-management skills, and the ability to partner with operations, facilities, and contractor teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management programs tailored to data center operations, including policies, procedures, and performance metrics.Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards; monitor changes in legislation and coordinate necessary program updates.Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and control measures for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and ergonomic hazards common to data centers (e.g., electrical rooms, UPSs, generators, battery rooms, cable trays, and CRAC units).Manage incident reporting and investigation processes, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurrence.Plan and conduct EHS audits, inspections, and site walkthroughs; track findings to closure and drive continuous improvement.Design and deliver targeted EHS training for employees and contractors, including topics such as lockout/tagout, arc flash, confined space, respiratory protection, and emergency response.Oversee contractor safety management, including pre-qualification, site orientation, monitoring, and enforcement of safety requirements.Coordinate emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills, evacuation plans, and business-continuity considerations specific to data center reliability.Maintain EHS documentation, metrics, and reporting (leading and lagging indicators); prepare regular reports for leadership highlighting compliance status, trends, and improvement opportunities.Drive culture change and engagement around safety and environmental stewardship through coaching, communication, and visible leadership support.QualificationsBachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in EHS management, ideally supporting data center operations or other critical infrastructure facilities.Demonstrated skills in EHS Management and general EHS program development, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation.Direct experience working in or supporting Data Centers, with knowledge of data center-specific risks and operational constraints.Strong knowledge of OSHA/CFR requirements and regulatory compliance fundamentals.Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective action management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence cross-functional teams and lead contractor safety programs.Proficiency with EHS metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., incident rate tracking, KPI dashboards).Preferred / Nice-to-have: prior roles as HSE, EHS Manager, Safety Manager, or EHS Specialist; working knowledge or training related to CFR 1910 and CFR 1910.120 (HAZWOPER); and certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30-hour.Willingness to work across multiple shifts or locations as required for data center operations and to participate in on-call rotation for incident response.BenefitsCompetitive total compensation packageEmployee Stock Ownership Plan100% employer paid dental, vision, STD/LTD for FT employeesStrong medical benefits401k w/matchGenerous PTO and paid holidaysMuch more!
