Situated along the picturesque Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center is just 75 minutes north of New York City. This state-of-the-art facility boasts a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion, featuring 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Consistently recognized for having one of the leading cardiac programs in the United States, as well as being named one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine, Vassar Brothers Medical Center is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
About Our ProgramAs a Level II, American College of Surgeons-verified Trauma Center , Vassar Brothers Medical Center offers comprehensive and prompt care for individuals suffering from traumatic injuries. Our multidisciplinary trauma team includes:
- Board-certified trauma surgeons
- Orthopedic surgeons
- Neurosurgeons
- Emergency medicine physicians
- Anesthesiologists
- Radiologists
- Critical care specialists
- Nurses and rehabilitation experts
This dedicated team provides 24-hour immediate coverage to evaluate and treat patients in accordance with national standards, emphasizing the enhancement of patient recovery and outcomes. Our holistic approach encompasses:

The perfect candidate will possess:
- Board Eligibility/Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma (mandatory)
- New graduates and seasoned surgeons are encouraged to apply
The compensation for this role is a competitive $1,700 for a 24-hour non-restricted call shift.
